Rental Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the rental of electric bikes (e-bikes) and accessories offered by E-bike Ledro by Simone Filippi, based in Via A. De Gasperi 14, Ledro (TN), Italy — VAT 02677930220 (“E-bike Ledro” or “the Rental Provider”). By booking through the website www.ebikeledro.com, by phone, or directly at the rental point, the customer (“the Customer”) fully accepts the terms set out below.
1. Requirements to rent
- Rental is reserved for adults (minimum age 18) or minors accompanied by a parent/guardian who takes responsibility for them.
- A valid ID document may be requested upon collection.
- The Customer declares to be physically fit and able to independently and safely ride an electric bike.
2. Booking and price list
Bookings can be made through the form on the website, by phone, or in person. Bookings made through the website receive a confirmation email; availability of the bikes is nonetheless subject to final confirmation by E-bike Ledro. Prices in effect at the time of publication are as follows (VAT included, unless otherwise stated):

Prices are subject to change; the price confirmed at the time of the booking confirmation applies.
3. Payment and security deposit
- Payment for the rental is made upon collection of the bike, in cash or by card, unless otherwise agreed.
- E-bike Ledro reserves the right to request a security deposit to guarantee the proper use and return of the bike, refunded at the end of the rental after verifying the condition of the bike.
- As an alternative to or in addition to the deposit, E-bike Ledro may request an ID document, returned upon return of the bike.
4. Collection and return of the bike
The bike is handed over and must be returned at E-bike Ledro's rental point, at the times agreed during booking. Upon collection, the Customer is informed about the correct operation of the e-bike and its condition; upon return, the bike is inspected in the Customer's presence. Any delay in returning the bike that has not been agreed in advance will result in additional hours or days being charged according to the current price list.
5. Correct use of the bike
The Customer agrees to:
- use the e-bike diligently, complying with the Italian Highway Code and applicable safety regulations;
- not use the bike under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication that impairs riding ability;
- not lend the bike to unauthorised third parties or sub-rent it;
- not use the e-bike on unsuitable routes, extreme off-road terrain or in manifestly dangerous conditions;
- take the utmost care of the bike for the entire duration of the rental, including during stops.
Wearing a helmet is strongly recommended for all cyclists and mandatory for children under 12 under art. 182, paragraph 9-bis of the Italian Highway Code (Legislative Decree 285/1992, as amended). Helmets can be rented according to the price list.
6. Customer liability
The Customer is responsible for the safekeeping of the bike for the entire duration of the rental and is directly liable for any damage, theft or loss of the bike and rented accessories occurring during the rental period, unless they can prove the event is not attributable to them. In case of theft, the Customer must promptly file a report with the competent authorities and provide a copy to E-bike Ledro.
Any damage found upon return of the bike, not attributable to normal use or wear, will be charged to the Customer based on repair or replacement costs, including, if necessary, full or partial retention of any security deposit paid. If the damage exceeds the amount of the deposit, the Customer must pay the difference.
7. E-bike Ledro's liability
E-bike Ledro undertakes to hand over bikes in good working order and safe condition. Except in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence attributable to a defect in the bike that could not be detected with ordinary diligence, E-bike Ledro is not liable for accidents, injuries or damage to people or property resulting from improper, negligent or reckless use of the bike by the Customer. We recommend that Customers verify their personal insurance coverage (liability and accident) before using the rented bike.
8. Weather conditions
The rental takes place under the weather conditions of the booked day. In case of adverse weather conditions that could compromise the safety of the route, E-bike Ledro reserves the right to propose a change of the rental date to the Customer, without automatic obligation of refund, to be assessed case by case with the aim of finding the most suitable solution.
9. Cancellations and booking changes
Any cancellation or booking change requests must be communicated as soon as possible by contacting E-bike Ledro via email, phone or WhatsApp. E-bike Ledro reserves the right to cancel a booking in case of unavailability of bikes or conditions that could compromise the Customer's safety, promptly informing the Customer.
10. Processing of personal data
Personal data provided during booking is processed by E-bike Ledro in compliance with applicable data protection law, as described in the Privacy Policy, which the Customer is invited to read before completing the booking.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Italian law. Any dispute regarding their interpretation, validity or execution shall fall under the jurisdiction of the Court of Trento, Italy, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005), which identify the place of residence or domicile of the consumer as the competent forum for disputes in which the Customer qualifies as a consumer.
12. Changes to these Terms
E-bike Ledro reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be published on this page, with the last update date shown above. We recommend checking this page periodically.
